After I did my portrait research on Dorothea Lange I was really inspired by her work and how she managed to transmit meanings through emotions and gestures into her photographs. In fact, in most of her work she captured strangers in the streets so I decided to try doing that myself. The camera I used was Canon D550. I started roaming on the road looking for people to click. I found various people and tried asking them for a photograph.
Here are some of the pictures I took:
I was walking in the park trying where I saw this girl standing under a tree talking to her friends. I loved the reflection of the leaves that was coming on her face. I immediately wanted to capture it. I went to her, asked for her permission and clicked it.
I was driving in my car during the month of June, which is the hottest in my country. I saw this old aged man picking up bricks and working really hard for himself. I stopped by, observed him for a bit, no matter how heavy the tiles were or how hot the weather was, this man was doing his work with a smile on his face. I wanted to capture that smile.
This is my friend, we were at a book hearing and while listening to the author I saw this very cool yet vibrant light coming over him.
